FAQ

Q.    What is refelxology?

Reflexology is a natural, holistic therapy which uses only human touch and pressure applied to specific areas of your feet and hands to bring about results. It seeks to complement the body's own natural healing efforts. Reflexology is non-intrusive, and because it stimulates specific reflex points, can help your body with a range of conditions. It can also be a very relaxing technique which can help to relieve stress and tension.

Although reflexology dates back to techniques used in ancient China, Egypt and India - Dr William Fitzgerald introduced these principles to the western world in 1913 as 'zone therapy'. This was further developed in the 1930's by Eunace Ingham into what is now known as reflexology.

How long is a session?

Your very first session is likely to take about an hour, though sometimes this may be a little longer, as I need to establish a detailed history of your health, lifestyle and any specific health problems you may have.

Further sessions usually take between 45 minutes and an hour.
